A real all-rounder, the Colormetrics V1500 proves itself everywhere where a POS needs to perform, without having to compromise on user-friendliness or design. Whether it sits on the counter at a retailer, in the lobby of a restaurant or on various sales desks at a clothing store chain, the POS system masters all the challenges which await the modern and highly frequented POS.
Operate the device via its 15'' touch screen. Depending on the need there are two different touch technologies available: a resistive or capacitive touch screen. The resistive monitor reacts to physical pressure and is therefore not only operable with fingers, but also with pens, etc. The capacitive touch screen (PCAP), on the contrary, is made of glass and reacts to the electrical field of the fingertip and while it is not malleable, it greatly impresses with its high degree of mechanical durability. Both monitor versions are open-frame, providing a minimalistic, functional and, at the same time, attractive look.
With a resolution of 1,024 x 768 pixels the V1500 presents all contents in great detail and pinpoint sharp – a quality which is just as important as the precise handling of the device as it is for the assessment of saved data. A brightness of 350 nits ensures that the monitor remains optimally readable even in less than ideal lighting conditions.
Behind the monitor there is an Intel Celeron J1900 Quad-Core processor with 2 GHz and 4 GB DDR3 memory (expandable up to 8 GB). Plus there is an Intel HD graphics chip, so that the V1500 is also capable of handling demanding graphical applications. It comes from the factory with a Windows 10 operating system and has a 500 GB HDD hard drive for saving product and transaction data. If there is a need for wear-resistant, fail-safe memory, optionally expand the V1500 to include an SSD drive.
Keyword »expansion«: The V1500 comes with 5 USB 2.0, 1 USB 3.0 und 3 serial/COM ports for accessory devices. This allows users to adapt the POS to the individual usage area, such as with a customer display. Using it, buyers not only are presented with information about their purchase, but also about current special offers, the advantages of a loyalty program and more. With a waiter's lock employees do not need to try to remember complicated and/or unsafe passwords. They simply lay their key on the device to unlock it. This is a simple, yet highly effective method for keeping things secure, especially in respect to data protection.
Further accessory options include a barcode scanner
(something the POS of the 21st century cannot do without), customer display, magnetic stripe reader and RFID
readers. Connect the cash drawer via the RJ11 port and the Colormetrics V1500 is ready to go! It has never been so easy to change the point of sale – for a higher throughput, more satisfied customers and optimized performance!
